FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: system having a head part revolving about a vertical axis and a fixed ocular part has two identical optical channels, each having a rotary head reflector, a head telescopic system, fixed head reflectors which guide light flux into the ocular telescopic system and an aligning prism common for both channels, said prism being mounted on a vertical axis and turned about said axis by an angle twice less than the turning angle of the head part, and ocular reflectors, behind each of which a reflector and an ocular are placed. The rotary head reflectors are configured to synchronously turn about the horizontal axis and an axis perpendicular thereto. Fixed reflectors which guide light flux to corresponding head telescopic systems are placed behind the rotary head reflectors. Each optical channel further includes aligning prisms turned in opposite directions by an angle equal to half the turning angle of the head reflectors about the horizontal axis of the head part of the panoramic system.
EFFECT: high information value and efficiency of observation, reduced operator fatigue and providing view in the hemisphere of the surrounding space.
