FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. An extension apparatus comprises a recumbent surface for placing patient's body and an extension bar with its one end connected by a joint unit to the recumbent surface for placing patient's body and with its other end comprising a fastener of a feed shaft device. The recumbent surface for patient's body comprises at least two mutually parallel longitudinal bars bearing a pelvis panel. The joint unit comprises a connector from the side of the bar rigidly connected to the extension bar. The connector from the side of the recumbent surface for patient's body is mounted on one of the longitudinal bars and rotating about an axis perpendicular to the pelvis panel. The connector from the side of the recumbent surface for patient's body is locked to prevent it from rotation about its rotation axis in relation to the longitudinal bar by means of a stopper actuated by a remote control.

EFFECT: enabled easy detachment and attachment of the extension bar if necessary, as well as convenient rotation not affecting surgeon's manipulations or operation site sterility.
