FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of dispersions and can be used for separation of oil and water. Dispersion includes first fluid, a dispersion phase, and second fluid, a continuous phase. Dispersion in fluid feed assy is fed into phase inversion means. This allows first fluid to be converted from disperse phase into continuous phase and second phase to inverted from continuous phase into disperse phase. Phase conversion means comprises element composed of the surface of contact with fluid for coalescence in flow direction.
EFFECT: phase inversion at lower volume fraction of first fluid making disperse phase.
