FIELD: measurement; testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sensors and, in particular, to level sensors intended for determining the interface level of a multiphase fluid composition. Sensor for determining the composition of an emulsion or other dispersion includes a resonant transducer for determining the composition of the emulsion or other dispersion, wherein the resonant transducer includes a sampling cell and two galvanically isolated windings: a bottom winding arranged around the sampling cell and a top winding arranged around the bottom winding. Invention also discloses a measuring system for determining the composition of an emulsion or other dispersion, particularly for determining a mixture of oil (crude oil) and water, a method of measuring the height of an interface between fluids and a method of determining composition of a mixture of particles in a liquid using the sensor described above.
EFFECT: invention enables to solve problems with reliability and accuracy, high sensitivity and selectivity, as well as high speed of obtaining data.
