FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises preparation of paste by mixing, application of said paste on parts and heating with curing. In paste mixing, additionally added are paste-forming anger, a NC 222 nitrocellulose lacquer, and charcoal black DG-100 at the following ratio of components, wt %: ferricyanic potassium K4Fe(CN)6 - 20-30, NC 222 nitrocellulose lacquer - 15-20, charcoal black DG-100 making the rest. Heating is performed to 680°C with holding at said temperature for 3 hours, then parts are cooled in oil and subjected to low-temperature annealing at 200°C for 2 hours.
EFFECT: higher ductility of carbonitrided diffusion layers and impart strength, die longer life.
