FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for restoration of brake discs of vehicles with their simultaneous hardening. Working surfaces of the discs are pierced before removing wear tracks and corrosion (oxidation) traces. Shape and dimensions of the working surfaces of the discs are restored by surfacing with low-carbon alloyed wire, for example Sv-08HG2C, in the protective gas environment. High disk release is performed at a temperature of 600–650 °C for 2 hours and mechanical processing, for example turning, is performed. Then, the nitrocementing paste is prepared by mixing the components in the following ratio, wt%: gas black – 53–57, iron sine potassium – 13–17, potassium carbonate – 13–17, nitrocellulose varnish NC–222 – 13–17 and nitrocementing is carried out at a temperature of 850 °C with an exposure time of 2 to 6 hours, depending on the required parameters of the surfaces to be hardened.
EFFECT: method provides increased overhaul life of the brake discs by increasing their wear resistance and improving the frictional properties of their working surfaces.
