FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: device consists of upper and lower connection pipes and an adapter-centraliser. An upper connection pipe is connected from above and a lower connection pipe is connected from below through a connecting sleeve to the adapter-centraliser. A coupling is connected to upper part of the upper connection pipe. A proposed method involves lowering of a device to a well with a side shaft, the main shaft of which is covered with a cement bridge for a whipstock or to a well with a horizontal shaft containing an adapter. A unit containing downhole pumping equipment is lowered to the well on a pipe string. The unit operation is performed. After the work is completed, the unit is lifted. If it is necessary, a device for prevention of borehole equipment fall is removed with a grappling tool.
EFFECT: prevention of penetration of emergency downhole pumping equipment into horizontal or side shafts.
