FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to granulated animal fodder and its manufacture method. The method and fodder produced by the said method involve production of the initial composition containing 10-90 wt % of an organic acid, 1-90 wt % of a surfactant (based on ethoxylated castor oil having HLB from 4 to 18 and a molar ratio equal to 1 molecule of castor oil per 1-200 molecule(s) of ethylene oxide), 0-20 wt % of antimicrobial terpenes or ether oils, addition of water so that to produce a thermal treatment composition for and introduction of an effective quantity of the thermal treatment composition into animal fodder with sufficient heating for the fodder granulation or extrusion. The organic acid is selected from the group consisting of acetic acid, propionic acid, oleic acid or their mixture.
EFFECT: method allows to improve granules quantity in particular - to enhance starch gelatinisation, granules strength, moisture retention and to improve mildew and bacteria inhibition.
