FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method relates to reconditioning of forming rolls. It comprises the identification of flaws zone at map describing several results of measurements at roll surface, calculation of several typical parameters for every identified zone, identification of flat type related with said identified zones on the basis of said calculated parameters, determination of threshold magnitude of tolerable particular flaw for every said identified type, determination of correction for every flaw zone proceeding from the comparison of said tolerance with the results of aforesaid measurements, determination of grinding parameters on the basis of the results of measurements if correction comprises grinding of roll surface for removal of flaws.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and quality.
