FIELD: restoration of steel rolling rolls with damaged necking portions. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of mechanically removing damaged layer of material from roll necking portion; heating necking portion up to 380-440 C for fusion at rate 50-80 C/hour; performing subsequent fusion at rate 20-40 m/h and electric current density 25-35 A/ sq.mm; performing heat treatment of fused necking portion at heating it up to 430-470 C and soaking at such temperature for 0.5-1.5 hours.
