FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cutting and may be used for production of gear wheels. Billet is mounted at mandrel and fixed thereat. Cutter head is inclined to initial straight line at equal angle whereat cutter edges form initial outline of cutting rack with standard profile angle at mid section of ring gear. Then, then billet is rotated and, at a time, fed to rolling. Then, gear rim tooth socket is cut with further division to tooth and reversing its rolling for return in initial position. To form elliptic pattern of tooth line of cutter heads axis is inclined to 55-90 degrees.
EFFECT: expanded processing performances.
