FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glass fibres, intended for, in particular, obtaining composite materials with organic and/or inorganic matrix, in composition of which included are the following components in specified below ranges, expressed in weight percent: SiO2 57-65%, Al2O3 15-23%, SiO2 + Al2O3 >79%, CaO 1-10%, MgO 6-12%, Li2O 1-3%, preferably 1-2%, BaO+SrO 0-3%, B2O3 0-3%, TiO2 0-3%, Na2O+K2O <2%, F2 0-1%, Fe2O3 <1%. Said fibres are formed from glass, offering excellent compromise between mechanic properties, expressed by specific Young's module, and conditions of melting and formation of fibres.
EFFECT: increase of specific Young's module.
