FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves measurement of relative change of creep speed of an aluminium product operating under creep conditions, and acceleration or retardation of a creep process by action on the product with constant magnetic field; retardation is performed by action of magnetic field with induction of 0.15 - 0.3 tesla, and acceleration is performed by action of magnetic field with induction of 0.01 - 0.15 tesla.
EFFECT: invention allows controlling creep speed of technically pure aluminium, which allows changing durability of aluminium products operating under creep conditions.
