SUBSTANCE: bullet includes cover, hard-alloy slug and lead jacket. Slug has head and shank portions. Slug length is equal to (2.21-3.48)d, where d - bullet gauge diameter. Slug is made from hard alloy with tungsten carbide content of 85-96 wt %, which has HRA hardness of not less than 85.0 units, and ultimate bending strength of not less than 2000 MPa. Head portion of slug is cone-shaped and its length is (0.58-3.70)d; shank portion has the shape of cylinder or flattened cone, or cylinder and flattened cone, which are connected to each other. Smaller diameter of flattened cone is (0.71-0.86)d; larger diameter of flattened cone of the shank is equal to diameter of cylinder and diameter of head portion of slug and is equal to (0.72-0.86)d. Length of cylinder of the shank is equal to (0.01-3.58)d, where d - bullet gauge diameter. Slug surface, either fully or partially, has roughness of not more than Ra 1.6, and weight of slug is equal to 34-62% of bullet weight. Cone-shaped head portion of slug has a contact platform, the diameter of which is equal to (0.018-0.25)d, where d - bullet gauge diameter.
