FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: search for local untightness in a spacecraft body is carried out with a device comprising a fibrous sensitive element, and the conclusion on availability of the local untightness is made using this element. During realisation of the method a device is used, which represents a hollow transparent cylinder limited at two sides by fixed lattices, inside of which there is a fibrous sensitive element with electromagnetic properties. Fixation of the sensitive element is provided with an electromagnetic suspension, and sensors are installed on the outer cylindrical part of the device for registration of movements of the fibrous sensitive element along the axis of the device under action of the gas flow from the leak.
EFFECT: simplified diagnostics of spacecraft body untightness, its higher accuracy and reduced time for searching for a leak point.
