FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: SF6 circuit breaker comprises an arc-quenching device made of two coaxially arranged contacts, at least one of which is mobile, and of an electric insulating arc-quenching nozzle arranged coaxially around contacts and made of separate elements made of different materials. The arc-quenching device of the circuit breaker additionally comprises a support tubular element fixed on one of the contacts. The electric insulating arc-quenching nozzle and a support tubular element represent a single device made of separate elements of an arc-quenching nozzle fixed on the inner surface of the support tubular element.
EFFECT: increased switching resource and switching capacity of a circuit breaker, higher strength and reliability in operation of arc quenching nozzles, simplified technology of their manufacturing.
