FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to logging industry, particularly, to development of wood-cutting area using air transfer unit at mountain range. Proposed method comprises timber skidding, transfer of timber by air unit when carriage is transferred by balloon lift over bearing cable to top point of installation. Air transfer system acts as air transfer bridge whereto felt wood is skidded by mini-cable systems from both sides. Said mini-cable systems are mounted on both sides of said bearing cable so that system cables can pass under bearing cable to allow wood skidding upward and downward relative to bearing cable. In wood skidding, every said mini-cable makes its transfer point under bearing cable wherefrom wood is transferred by balloon and carriage to main transfer point at bottom installation.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of wood skidding.
