FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: application describes individual packages for transdermal therapeutic systems or dosage forms of film or plate type in stratified package with side sealing, and a method of manufacturing such packages with side sealing, which is characterised by a low cost of the material, at that the said packages with side sealing contain two elements of the packaging material which are located above each other and at least one of which consists of a packaging material resistant to tear with low tear propagation resistance. The said individual packages are characterised in that two elements of packaging material which are connected to each other by the continuous sealed seam extending around the packaged product, and thus form a package with side sealing have a latch at one end of the said package with side sealing that extends beyond the sealed edge, at that the width of the said latches is preferably equal to half the width of the package with side sealing, at the ends of the latches facing the opposite side from the sealed edge the seal area is located where they are connected with each other, and at least one of the elements of the packaging material comprises structure of partial tear of the packaging material in the area of latches, where the sealed connection of the latches with each is absent, at that the said structure of partial tear of the packaging material is not in contact with the edge of the package. Also a method of manufacturing these individual packages is disclosed, which is characterised by particularly low material consumption.
