SUBSTANCE: method of producing a monochloroacetic acid ester containing a 1,3-dioxane substitute by re-esterification of ethyl ether of monochloroacetic acid with 5-ethyl-5-hydroxymethyl-1,3-dioxane is carried out in the presence of Purolite CT 275 as a catalyst at temperature of 90-100°C for 3-3,5 hours.
EFFECT: obtaining an end product at low temperatures with fewer by-products and improved fungicidal properties.
