FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of obtaining substituted 1,3-dioxolanes, which contain in their composition a gem-dichlorocyclopropyl substituent, by condensation of 2-(2,2-dichlorocyclopropyl)oxirane or 2-(2,2-dichloro-1-methylcyclopropyl)oxirane with formaldehyde at a temperature of 90-100°C in the presence of sulphuric acid as a catalyst for 2 hours with the following component ratio, wt %: 2-(2,2-dichlorocyclopropyl)oxirane 35.4; sulphuric acid 0.3; formaldehyde 7; 1,4-dioxane 57.2-(2,2-dichloro-1-methylcyclopropyl)oxirane 37.7; sulphuric acid 0.3; formaldehyde 7; 1,4-dioxane 55.
EFFECT: increased output of the target product with an increase of its quality; compounds are applied as intermediate products of fine organic synthesis, solvents and components of paint and varnish materials.
