FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a device for liquid-phase thermal conversion of heavy hydrocarbon raw material, which includes a reactor having a shell, upper and lower heads, separation space, a thermally treated raw material inlet branch pipe tangentially located on the shell, and vapour and liquid product outlet branch pipes located on upper and lower heads respectively. Lower head of the reactor is made in the form of a convex-concave surface of rotation about vertical axis, with a convex part adjoining the reactor shell; raw material inlet branch pipe is located with an inclination to horizon, and liquid product outlet branch pipe is located tangentially on the outside of convex surface of lower head; besides, in reactor raw material inlet line there additionally installed is a water-jet pump connected via a pipeline to an inlet line of recirculated part of liquid product. Invention also refers to a method of liquid-phase thermal conversion of heavy hydrocarbon raw material.
EFFECT: improving quality of liquid product; reducing power consumption and intensity of coke deposition in a reactor.
