FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device for detection and identification of hidden hazardous substances under water comprises a tight body, where the following components are installed: a source of marked monochromatic neutrons and their associated monochromatic α-particles, a detector of α-particles, a detector of γ-radiation with a protection from a flow of marked monochromatic neutrons. At the same time the tight body of the container is equipped with a connected water impermeable vacuumised or gas-filled nozzle, the axis of which matches with the direction of a central bundle of marked monochromatic neutrons. At the same time the nozzle is made in the form of bellows with capability of longitudinal deformations, and the size of its cross section is selected based on the condition of passage of the entire flow of marked monochromatic neutrons.

EFFECT: provision of the possibility to detect hazardous substances with higher probability, provision of the possibility to eliminate contact of a device with an object of examination.
