SUBSTANCE: use: for detection and identification of hazardous substances. Summary of invention consists in the fact that detection and identification of hazardous substances is realized by preliminary scanning of freight railroad train by X-ray measuring-diagnostic complex (MDC) and in case of detection of "suspicious" object, direction of the whole composition to the zone of additional inspection, where by means of mobile technical means of additional inspection (MTMAI) complex of measures on detection and identification of hazardous objects is carried out using the method of labeled neutrons.

EFFECT: possibility of increasing the reliability of the process of detecting hazardous substances in a freight car while reducing the probability of "false" alarms, as well as enabling reduction of the minimum detected mass of the latent hazardous substance.
