SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a food processor and a system comprising a food processor. The food processor (1) with a connecting section (3) for mounting the processing devices (4). At the connecting section (3) there is a recording device (9) for determining the mounted processing device (4) or the covering element. The recording device (9) can be actuated by the control element (11) mounted on the connecting section (3) of the processing device (4) or the covering element. The recording device (9) has at least two differently oriented control areas (25, 27). The control areas (25, 27) are located on the recording device (9) smoothly turning into each other. The control areas (25, 27) form on the recording device (9) the curved control surface (26).
