METHOD OF MAKING STUMP PIN INSERT FOR FRONT GROUP OF TEETH Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC A61C13/30

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dentistry, and is intended for reconstruction of considerably destroyed front teeth. Preparation of restored tooth in patient's oral cavity is carried out. Working, with glass-fibre pin in root canal of restored tooth, and auxiliary, impressions of jaws are made with impression silicone mass. Working and auxiliary gypsum models are plastered into articulator. Working model of jaw is removed from articulator. Standard glass-fibre pin, identical to earlier used pin for making working impression of jaw, is installed into root canal of restored tooth. Stump of tooth is modelled on projecting end of pin by means of composite filling material for masticatory teeth "Filtek™ P60". Colour of material is preliminarily selected. Entire modelled surface is simultaneously photopolymerised. Dissociation with antagonist teeth is controlled in the process of modelling. Finished pin insert is fitted in patient's oral cavity.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase strength of stump pin insert and physiologicity of the method due to modelling insert outside oral cavity and making insert from packable composite filling material for masticatory teeth.
