FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to distribution chamber. Said chamber comprises mixing zone 49 for dissipation of pulp kinetic energy, settling zone for activation of pulp flocculation and at least one inclined baffle plate 101 for partial separation of said mixing zone from said settling zone. Other modifications include flange 3 to confine, at least partially, inclined path 4 for removal of material from flange into distribution chamber. Besides, they include two concentric outlets 111, 112 and section 123 of second channel 121 of variable size of cross-section to communicate said initial material inlet 110 with first channel 120. Baffle plate 133 serves for partial separation of outer mixing zone 131 and inner settling zone 132.
EFFECT: better mixing and flocculation.
