SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a casting machine and a method for producing a cast web of material containing alkaloids, in particular the material is a homogenized tobacco material, preferably used in an aerosol generating product, such as, for example, a cigarette or a "heating without combustion" type tobacco-containing product. A casting machine for producing a cast sheet of an alkaloid-containing material, comprising a casting box configured to receive a slurry of alkaloid-containing material; a pulp supply element configured to supply pulp to the casting box; moving base; a casting blade configured to cast the slurry contained in the casting box onto the movable base, thereby producing a cast web; redirecting ribs configured to come into contact with the pulp and placed inside the casting box. The method for producing a cast sheet of material containing alkaloids, contains the introduction of the pulp into the casting box; providing redirecting ribs within the mold box to bend the slurry flow path within the mold box; pouring the pulp onto a movable base by means of a casting blade.
EFFECT: elimination of heterogeneity and defects in the cast web of homogenized tobacco.
