FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to ball hinges to be used in rolling mill roll drives in transmission of torque at notable skewing of rolls in hinges of universal spindles. Ball hinge comprises shell with its bores accommodating sliders with spherical surfaces, shaft spherical head, four balls, spherical rings, protective casing and means to prevent self-unfastening. Balls are arranged between sliders fitted in said shell and spherical head grooves. Spherical rings are fitted in shell appropriate bores to contact with spherical head. Threaded sleeves are fitted in shell bores. Every slider is composed of the support with outer thread interacting with sleeve inner thread and working in contact with thrust support with spherical surface. Threaded supports are engaged with said means for protection against self-unfastening.
EFFECT: longer life owing to ruled our radial clearances.
