FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to collapsible mandrel for making the parts from polymer composites and can be used for production of containers and shells with shaped inner surface. Proposed mandrel comprises central seat rod to accommodate lengthwise segments 2 while conical L-like grooves 4 are made at butt edges. Said segments 2 are jointed together and locked. Lock is composed of tie-rod 6 displacing in lengthwise direction and furnished with brackets 10 spring-loaded on both sides by plate springs. Bracket 10 has retainer secured thereto and made of high-strength material with outer shell of softer material to be locked in aforesaid conical L-like grooves 4.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of mandrel assembly-disassembly, expanded process performances, precise parameters of mandrel working surface.
