FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves PZhV furnace smelting (bath smelting) of the charge containing calcium sulphate, carbon-bearing reducing agent and fluxes, and sulphurisation in a rotating furnace connected to the PZhV furnace. Charge is heated to the temperature of not lower than 300-350°C with sulphur-containing waste hot gases passing through the rotating furnace.
EFFECT: possible processing of low-sulphur and oxidised materials; reduction of consumption of fluxes, losses of non-ferrous metals with slags; saving of energy resources and performance of a continuous process.
