SUBSTANCE: medium voltage breaker has an electronic safety and control unit (1), having a base (2) which is fastened to the breaker. The base (2) has a main housing (21) with a fastening means (210) for fastening to the breaker and a removable unit (3). The first side (22) of the main housing (21) has a closed space (220) which includes connections (221) with the breaker and its internal equipment. The second side (23) of the main housing (21) has a plurality of first means (231) for power and/or signal connection. The removable unit (3) has a cover (31). The first part (310) of the cover (31) accommodates one or more intelligent electronic devices; the second part (320) of the cover (31) is detachably connected to the base and has a plurality of second means (321) for power and/or signal connection, which are connected to the first means for power and/or signal connection.
EFFECT: design of a medium voltage breaker with a safety and control function, which is directly built into the board of the breaker, which broadens functional capabilities and increases technological effectiveness of the breaker.
