SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a machine for preparation of beverages by way of brewing using cartridges. The beverage preparation machine contains a brewing device that contains a guide for a single cartridge introduction, a lever for actuating the piston and a chamber suitable for the cartridge accommodation. The piston is capable of straight line motion in a certain direction and has the first rest position and the second operational position. The guide is positioned between the said first rest position and the said second operational position. The guide has a preset rest position so that the capsule relies on the said chamber edge.
