FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of shaped abrasive particles to be used in finishing of the wide range of materials. Every shaped abrasive particle has side surface and is made of aluminium alpha-oxide and first and second end surfaces separated by aid side surface. Note here that shaped abrasive particles feature maximum thickness T. There are also shaped abrasive particles with multiple grooves made at their second faces. Tool for making above described particles has multiple mould cavities composed of bottom and lateral polymer surfaces. Mould lateral wall features height Hc. Mould bottom surface has multiple ledges.
EFFECT: uniform-intensity cutting.
