FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of obtaining vinyl chloride by pyrolysis of 1,2-dichloroethane at temperature 480-520°C and pressure 15-30 atm. method is characterised by the following: 1,2-dichloroethane is supplied into process in mixture with hydrogen with molar ratio of 1,2-dichloroethane and hydrogen being equal 100:0.03-3.5.
EFFECT: application of claimed method makes it possible to increase inter-burn furnace run due to reduction of coke deposition, increase selectivity of process of vinyl chloride obtaining with preservation of initial raw material conversion.
