FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to the method of obtaining vinylchloride by catalytic by dehydrochlorination of dichloroethane in a mixture with hydrogen or an inert gas diluent at temperature of 250-375°C, taken in molar ratio of 0.01-0.08 : 0.94-1.18 respectively in the presence of silicate as the catalyst system, deposited on a carbon carrier. The inert gas diluent used can be helium or argon. The invention also relates to the catalyst system used in the process, which has a carbon carrier, on the surface of which is deposited silicate with silica ratio ranging from 2 to 3 in quantity of 2-10 wt %, of the total mass of the carrier. The catalyst system can have sodium silicate or liquid sodium glass as the silicate, and "АГН" active carbon as the carbon carrier.
EFFECT: higher conversion of the starting material with retention of high selectivity on vinylchloride with simultaneous lowering of the temperature of carrying out the process.
