FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, and namely to out-of-furnace treatment of liquid metal. Modifying additives are first fixed on a moving consumable carrier in the form of shaped dosed positions and introduced to molten metal. As moving consumable carrier there used is a flat metal strip, the edges of which are bent so that a chute is formed. The device includes a pinch roll with a guide chute for supply of moving consumable carrier and an uncoiling unit and is equipped with a feeder for storage of portions of modifying additives and a supply assembly of the above portions to the moving consumable carrier with the guide chute, a preparation assembly of a consumable carrier profile, a dosing separation assembly and an attachment assembly of positions of modifying additives on the moving consumable carrier; besides, the guide chute for supply of portions of modifying additives adjoins the guide chute for supply of the moving consumable carrier after the preparation assembly of the consumable carrier profile.

EFFECT: invention allows improving dosing accuracy and ease of introduction of additives, as well as possibility of operative change of a set of introduced additives in the flow direction of the process in the required sequence and the ratio, automation of accurate correction of composition of modifying additives introduced in restricted quantities depending on current parameters of a metallurgical process.
