FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to continuous casting of composite strips in two-roll casting machine. Proposed method comprises reinforcing material 35 from above into central part of liquid metal capture zone 20 formed in feeding two metal flows 15, 16 between revolving crystalliser rolls 2, 5 of two-roll casting machine, downward drawing of strip 26 and its rolling. Liquid metal is fed into said capture zone in two flows 15, 16 on both sides of said fed reinforced material 35. Pre-reinforced material 35 is coated by the layer of alloying or modifying additives. Said reinforcing material represents either powder, fiber, set of wires, tape or reticular web.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, expanded process performances, better mechanical properties.
