FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of chemistry. Titanium powder is activated by its heating in dynamic vacuum at temperatures 290-350°C for 3-4 hours. After that, interaction of titanium powder with hydrogen at temperature not higher than 300°C is realised. Processing of titanium powder before activation is possible in ball mill for 0.5-55 hours with frequency of ball beating 5-15 Hz.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce thermal stability of powder-like titanium hydride.
