FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises a system of clamps of a tested material sample, a mechanism for loading and longitudinal deformation setting, a measurement sensor with a mechanism for straightening of a ring-shaped edge, representing an optically transparent edge installed as capable of regulation of its position relative to the deformation field of the sample. A measurement sensor is made in the form of a web-camera providing for integral scanning of a deformation field of the sample and switched with a recording unit that starts the computer and is made as capable of automated conversion of a signal of a measurement sensor into optoelectronic pixels.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of measurement of deformation characteristics of fibrous systems with simultaneous structural simplification of a device.
