SUBSTANCE: device comprises a system of clamps of the sample, a task mechanism of loading the sample with a screw drive, an arrow-straightener of the spiral-shaped edge of the deformed sample with the means providing the possibility of its longitudinal and transverse displacement, which are made in the form of a carriage equipped with a five-link lever mechanism, the recording unit with the processor. The web-camera is connected to the processor by the transmission line of the optical signal and is made with the ability to scan simultaneously the values of supplied loading on the digitised scale and the values of transverse and longitudinal displacement of the arrow-straightener of the spiral-shaped edge.

EFFECT: simplification of the design of the device and providing the procedure of measurement of longitudinal and transverse deformations of easily deformed knitted fabrics in one step with simultaneous improvement of measurement accuracy.
