FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: method involves neutron-activation analysis of a specimen of gold-bearing sulphides; a sample is formed in the form of its grain with the size of 30-70 mcm, which is subsequently sealed into a polyethylene film, packed into a filter paper and an aluminium foil prepared so that the sample is subject to irradiation on the reactor during 15-17 hours in the flow of 1×1013 n/cm2×sec with further measurement in the specimen of induced activity of gold and its satellites on the 7th-12th day after radiation treatment, in parallel with the range of the measured energy of 100-1800 KeV and 50-160 KeV in the line of 1332 KeV and 121.8 KeV respectively; after that, intensity of v - gold line is analysed at 412 KeV, and by comparing to intensity of the same line in reference specimens there calculated is gold amount in grains.
EFFECT: improving reliable evaluation of determination of gold content in mine rocks.
