FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used to measure efficiency of one or groups of rods of reactor plant (RP) control in cases, when according to RP operation conditions it is necessary to ensure metrological certification of these measurements in surge modes. Efficiency of control rods is defined by variations of RP reactivity that arise as a result of their displacement. The RP is taken to stationary critical state. The full number of RP neutrons n(t) is measured as speed of count of the neutron detector in time v(t) continuously, with a discrecity interval Δt. RP capacity is varied by dropping investigated control rods. Reactivity is calculated after dropping from equations of neutron balance according to results of measurements v(t), which are used with a correction by means of multiplication of the value of count speed of the detector v(t) by a coefficient δk. This coefficient is more or less than 1, k - number of group of dropped rods.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of detection of efficiency of control rods by minimisation of specific methodological errors of reactivity definitions.
