FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: stand has inner and outer frames, roll pads with rolls. Position of all four-edged straightening rolls can be adjusted in vertical and horizontal directions and pad stack and roll cages can be replaced with withdrawal from the stand in direction perpendicular to rolled stock direction thanks to dual inner frame arrangement inside outer frame. First inner frame can be adjusted on vertical direction only while second inner frame is adjusted in horizontal direction only. Four-edged straightening rolls and position adjustment devices are arranged inside second inner frame. Mechanical structures for "convexity-concavity" engagement are arranged at opposite surfaced of appropriate pads and cages and inner frame for direction of appropriate pads and cages by exploiting inner frame lowering motion after disengagement from clamping device for stacking and withdrawal of stack from mill stand. Then, inner frame lifting motion is used to break down the stack to guide pads and cages to preset position in the stand for locking.
EFFECT: easier adjustment and replacement of rolls.
