SUBSTANCE: retrofitting method of a power plant including a multicasing steam turbine operating on fossil fuel, a carbon dioxide separation device, at which absorbing capacity of the steam turbine is matched with process steam extracted for operation of the carbon dioxide separation device, the carbon dioxide separation device by means of a process steam pipeline is connected to a reheater pipeline, and parallel to the carbon dioxide separation device an auxiliary condenser is actuated so that excess process steam is condensed in it at failure or intended deactivation of the carbon dioxide separation device. Besides, a retrofit power plant is presented according to the method.
EFFECT: invention allows developing a cheap method of retrofitting a power plant with a carbon dioxide separation device; besides, operation of the power plant firing fossil fuel shall be continued even when the above device is inoperative or deactivated.
