SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to methods and systems for the correction of astigmatism and other asymmetrical optical aberrations. A method for developing a needle for the radial alignment of an intraocular lens in relation to an eye comprises the pre-operative corneal topography data collection. The data contain a corneal apex location and a non-dilated pupil centre location. Further, the method contains locating a dilated pupil centre after the pupil has been dilated. The method additionally involves precise deflection sensing between the corneal apex and the dilated pupil centre, as well as alignment data presentation on an eye image on the basis of the precise deflection. A system is presented so that to perform the stages of the method and involves a memory unit, a processor and a display unit, as well as a machine-readable medium comprising a software.

EFFECT: using the invention provides an accurate angular intraocular positioning of the intraocular lens.
