FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: device for use during refractive cataract surgery comprises: a real-time intraoperative wavefront sensor for continuous measurement of the first set of wavefronts propagating back out of the patient's eye during the first intraoperative time interval. During the first intraoperative time interval, temporary surgically induced factors arise that cause temporary changes in the preoperatively measured astigmatism component of the patient's eye, at that, the first set of wavefronts is measured after removal of the patient's eye lens bringing the patient's eye into an aphakic state, and the real-time intraoperative wavefront sensor is configured to output the wavefront measurement data characterizing the first set of wavefronts; and a data processor associated with the real-time intra-operative wavefront sensor for reception of wavefront measurement data configured to calculate the aphakic astigmatism component from wavefront data, characterizing the measurements of the first set of wavefronts, and calculatipn of the astigmatism component of one cornea, which is the difference of the aphakic astigmatism component and the temporal astigmatism component. The temporal astigmatism component is a measurement of the temporary change in astigmatism caused by temporary surgically-induced factors. Moreover, the data processor is further configured with a possibility of storing a single cornea astigmatism component in the memory or issuing it. The device for measurement of the patient's eye astigmatism components during refractive cataract surgery contains: a means for continuous measurement of the first set of wavefronts and for issuing of wavefront measurement data characterizing the first set of wavefronts; and a means associated with the continuous measurement means for reception of the wavefront measurement data for calculation of the aphakic astigmatism component from the wavefront data characterizing the measurements of the first set of wavefronts, for calculation of the astigmatism component of one cornea, which is the difference of the aphakic astigmatism component and the temporal astigmatism component. The temporal astigmatism component is a measurement of the temporary change in astigmatism caused by temporary surgically-induced factors, and for issuing of the astigmatism component of a single cornea.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of determination of the target axis of astigmatism correction or neutralizing during refractive cataract surgery.
