FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for generation of radiation defects and performance of radiation tests, and namely tests at investigation of influence of irradiation on mechanical properties, relationship between deformation of radiation deformation and radiation thermal creep of specimens of tested materials in nuclear reactors, and mainly in fast neutron reactors with a metal heat carrier, for example sodium, lead, and lead and bismuth ones. A device for testing materials in a nuclear reactor includes a housing, a valve and a sleeve with a hole, in which a cassette with specimens of materials, which are fixed in it, is located. The valve is fixed so that it can be moved in a longitudinal direction; besides, it closes the hole at an upward movement and opens it at a downward movement.
EFFECT: accelerating test performance; simplifying the design at improvement of fire safety.
