SUBSTANCE: apparatus for sealing the end, which is designed for laying a cable in a cable sheath, has a clamping structure with a receiving inner space and an elastic sealing bushing inside the receiving inner space for receiving the end of the cable sheath, having two cylindrical sections of an inner loop which can be displaced relative to each other in the axial and radial direction in order to form a peripheral sealing surface for the cable sheath and other peripheral sealing surface for the cable; a V-shaped narrowing of the inner loop is formed between the sealing surface for the sheath and the sealing surface for the cable.
