SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control methods of propulsion plant operation including four-stroke internal combustion engine. Technical result concludes in improvement of engine temperature mode control and waste gas temperature control. Described is a control method of internal combustion engine operation with at least one cylinder and operating by four-stroke cycle. The engine has at least one controlled inlet for control of combustion chamber connection to intake path. Outlet is controlled thus providing its primary phase of opening mostly during intake stroke.

EFFECT: control method includes inlet control program providing its auxiliary phase opening during operating cycle stroke.
