FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: powder mixture of niobium with silicon in the ratio of 5Nb+3Si at % is arranged in a steel press mould and compact with porosity of 30-40% is obtained. The press mould containing the compact is heated with high-frequency currents till a tablet of powder mixture containing 50 at %Ni+50 at %Al and laid beforehand in the lower part of the inner volume of the press mould is self-ignited with simultaneous compaction of the synthesis product in the press mould on a hydraulic press. There can be added up to 25 vol. % of a metallic binding agent to the powder mixture.

EFFECT: increasing working temperatures of products made from the obtained composite material.
